With single-digit temperatures and sub-zero wind chills not to relenting yet, several schools in the KMMO listening area will be closed again today, while some others will be distance learning.

According to administrators, Bright Beginnings Preschool, Prairie View State School and St. Peter’s in Marshall are closed. Also closed are Blackwater; Concordia Public and St. Paul’s Elementary in Concordia; Fayette R-3; E.W. Thompson State School in Sedalia; Gilliam C-4; Glasgow Public and Head Start in Glasgow; Lafayette County C-1 in Higginsville; La Monte; Miami R-1; New Franklin; Odessa R-7; Orearville R-4; Otterville; Pettis County R-5 in Houstonia and Hughesville; Pettis County R-12 at Dresden; Pilot Grove C-4 and St. Joseph in Pilot Grove; Sacred Heart and St. Paul’s Elementary in Sedalia; Santa Fe Schools in Alma and Waverly; Sweet Springs R-7; and Trinity Lutheran in Alma.

State Fair Community College in Sedalia will be closed, but the campus in Boonville will open at 11 a.m.

School districts distance learning include Marshall Public Schools; Missouri Valley College in Marshall; Henry County R-1 in Windsor; Hardemen R-10; Immanuel Lutheran in Higginsville; Malta Bend R-5; and Slater Public Schools.
