A 21-year-old House Springs resident is facing a felony charge for allegedly stealing a motor vehicle in August.

Charles Lawrence Olson was taken into custody on August 7 while he was attempting to steal a motor vehicle in Lafayette County.

Olson is charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash or surety.

Olson waived his right to a Preliminary Hearing on February 9. His case has been bound over and he is scheduled for arraignment at 9 a.m. Monday, February 22 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
