A 50-year-old Kansas City man has been charged with a felony for allegedly being the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash on August 10, and then leaving the scene.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Anthony Raynald Tyhurst was the driver of the vehicle that had been abandoned on I-70 in Saline County. A passenger in the vehicle had sustained a serious injury to her arm.

Tyhurst is charged with a Class C Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and two driving-related misdemeanors. He posted $7,500 surtety bond on August 12.

Tyhurst was arraigned on August 12. A Preliminary Hearing Setting in this case is set for 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 10 at Saline County Circuit Court.
