A Hughesville resident is facing a felony charge for allegedly assaulting her father on December 28, 2020.

According to a Pettis County deputy’s report, a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper and the deputy were advised to respond to a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, authorities made contact with a man who stated his daughter, Jodie Cornine had assaulted him. He had suffered a laceration to his left hand and a small laceration to his right hand.

Jodie Cornine is charged with a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree. Bond is fixed at $25,000 cash or surety.

Her case has been bound over for trial. Cornine is scheduled for arraignment at 9 a.m. Monday, March 15 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
