
Two out-of-state residents are facing felony charges after a traffic stop on I-70 in Cooper County on November 5 last year.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper located approximately 832 grams of marijuana; five grams of THC Shatter; four grams of THC Hash; and 1000 mL of THC oil in the trunk of the vehicle. Additionally, the trooper located four handguns during the search.
Court documents say 23-year-old Jalen Cooley, of Newaygo, Michigan; and 21-year-old Tailun Dicks, of Radcliff, Kentucky, each is charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Possession of a Weapon and a Felony Controlled Substance. Both defendants are currently out on bond.
A third person that was in the vehicle has not been charged.
Preliminary Hearing Setting in Dicks’ case is set for 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
A Preliminary Hearing Setting in Cooley’s case is set for 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 6 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
