A 38-year-old Sedalia man is facing felonies following an alleged assault that took place in February, last year, in Pettis County.

On February 28, 2020, the Sedalia Police Department responded to the call of a domestic dispute, where a woman claimed Shiloh D. Best had struck her in the head with a hammer.

Best waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty on July 6 to a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. He posted $25,000 surety bond in March.

Best’s next court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 15 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
