Saline County Health Department Administrator Tara Brewer was at the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, March 4, and gave an update on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Brewer says she is pleased to have many community partners to keep Saline County in the forefront of vaccinating its citizens.

Brewer says the next tier of persons eligible to vaccinated is scheduled to begin on March 15.

Brewer says as far as the daily positive COVID-19 cases, they are down considerably in the county, with about 20 active cases and only about two to three new positive cases per day- versus what was 25 to 30 per day not too long ago.

Brewer says they can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Brewer says some folks from other cities/counties have been able to get their vaccinations in Saline County, but that really hasn’t affected Saline Countians having the ability to be vaccinated.
