Two Brookfield residents are facing multiple drug-related felony charges after authorities allegedly found several drug-related items in their residence on March 1.

Authorities say they found bag of psilocybin mushrooms; a pill bottle with no label containing pills that were identified as oxycodone and lorazepam; and mini bags of a green organic substance, which tested positive for THC.

Court documents say each 44-year-old Michael A. Donovan and 38-year-old Dana L. Donovan is charged with four counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Michael Donovan also is charged with two counts of a Class E Felony for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

Michael Donovan pleaded not guilty during his arraignment hearing on Tuesday, March 2. He was granted release on own-recognizance bond. A counsel-status hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 11, at Linn County Circuit Court.

Dana Donovan posted $1,000 cash bond on Thursday, March 4. Her arraignment hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. April 8 at Linn County Circuit Court.
