Some water-main work is scheduled to begin this week that will affect traffic flow on a portion of a roadway for about three months.

According to the city of Sedalia, beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, and scheduled through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, West 3rd Street- between South Quincy Avenue and U.S. Highway 65 (South Limit Avenue)- will periodically be lane restricted with heavy equipment and workers present along the roadway while water-main improvements are made along West 3rd Street.

Travelers in the area may want to find an alternate route to their destination to avoid delays due to the construction project.

This project is weather and equipment dependent and may be delayed due to inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
