Born November 6, 1960 in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Portwood and Wilma Robertson Bell. On March 3, 1984 in Slater, she married William A. “Billy” Norris, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2020.
She is survived by a daughter, Wendy Marie Norris Guthrie and her husband Frank of Slater; a son SFC William A. Norris, II and his wife Becca of Stuttgart, Germany; five grandchildren, Kendall “Angel Annie” Ann Guthrie, Ray “Paisee” Guthrie, Kaylee Marie “K Marie” Norris, Elizabeth “Izzy B” Norris, and Jase A. “Jasey Poo” Norris; a brother, Jerry Chapman of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Jackie Holloway of Jacksonville, Florida and Tommie Bell of Jefferson City; nine nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and two new great-great-nieces. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Mrs. Norris was a 1979 graduate of Fayette High School in Fayette, Missouri, and had lived in rural Gilliam for a number of years. There is no greater love than the love she had for her grandbabies and her husband. She enjoyed being at the beach viewing the ocean, but her favorite place was in the woods hunting mushrooms. She would always say she could smell them, and she could!
