The National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has issued a Red Flag Warning for today.

Strong winds are expected to develop today with sustained speeds near 25 mph and wind gusts of 30-35 mph. These gusty winds, along with mild temperatures, will created low humidity levels this afternoon.

Critical fire weather conditions are expected this afternoon into the early evening hours.

It is highly recommended that your refrain from any outside burning today. This Red Flag Warning is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening, for the entire KMMO listening area.
