Two persons were taken into custody and another released after the execution of a search warrant on Monday, March 15, in Johnson County.

According to a press release, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Warrensburg Police Department Joint Special Weapons and Tactics Team, executed a narcotics-related search warrant in the 200 block of SE Business 13 in Warrensburg. The search warrant was in reference to an investigation involving the distribution of narcotics occurring from the residence.

Two individuals at the residence were identified and taken into custody, and a third individual was released from the scene.

Once the investigation is completed, formal charges will be sought against all three individuals through the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office.
