Some upcoming events were discussed during the meeting of the Slater City Council on Tuesday, March 16.

City Administrator Gene Griffith says there has been a hiccup involving finding a carnival for the Fall Festival.

Griffith said the city is going to have to be flexible when it comes to the dates for the Fall Festival.

In other news, Griffith says the city is shooting for Saturday, June 19, for the Annual Steve McQueen Day and Classic Car Cruise. He said signup will begin at about 9 a.m., with the cruise to take place at about 2:30 p.m.
