Some employees in an area school district will be getting a bump in their salary this upcoming school year.

According to unofficial minutes from the meeting of the Glasgow School Board on Wednesday, March 17, the board approved the 2021-22 salary schedule for certified teachers and a three-percent raise for non-certified staff and those employees not on the salary schedule. The salary schedule shows a $750 raise in base pay for teachers.

The board also approved the motion for the district to stay with its current insurance group- the Missouri Education Health Group Insurance Consortium.

In addition, the board approved an employee separation agreement between the school district and an MIT-E Network employee. The district currently is in the MIT-E Network consortium and serves as the pay agent for one MIT-E employee. The MIT-E Network consortium is restructuring and no longer requires a full-time employee.

In other news, the board reviewed bids and approved one for the replacement of two rooftop air-conditioner units at the high school. All units on the high school roof are original to the building, with the exception of three units that already have been replaced.

The board also accepted the resignations of Jennifer Moorehead, Nicole Sherman and Bethany DuCharme. All other certified staff members were extended contracts for the 2021-22 school year. The board approved the hiring of Camille McMillan as a paraprofessional.
