
Some items were considered for approval during the meeting of the Concordia Board of Aldermen on Monday, March 15.
According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, aldermen approved a motion to present Resolution 2021-R-11- authorizing execution of a Hold Harmless Agreement with Lafayette County A.R.E.S. Radio Club for repair of its equipment on the North Water Tower.
Aldermen gave their approval to proceed with the administrator to bring back an ordinance to start a fund for a new community center.
Discussion was held for potential projects and to develop schedules and timetable from the stimulus package that was awarded. The city could get in the range of $437,000. Projects were discussed by priority.
Alderman Ken Fuchs said the first priority should be improvement of SE 7th Street and Orange Street and completion of SW 7th Street drainage.
Alderman Rob Hemme stated the second priority should be CIPP/Point of repair to various sewer lines throughout the city.
Alderman Kaleb Nierman said the third priority should be the storm sirens, with a new one at Rhineland Acres, and to replace the one by the nursing home.
Alderman Beth Kruse thinks the fourth priority should be the Hardee’s drainage tied in with the demolition of the water plant.
