A 35-year-old Lexington woman is facing a couple of drug-related felony charges after a traffic stop and subsequent search of her vehicle on March 4 in Lafayette County.

Authorities say, Melinda Ann Nigh was arrested after, authorities, with the help of a K-9, located located marijuana, a clear baggie containing methamphetamine and a smoking pipe in her purse. They also located prescription drugs, not prescribed to Nigh.

Nigh was arraigned and pleaded not guilty, on March 5, to two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and two drug-related misdemeanors. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Her next court proceeding is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 24, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
