Sex-related felony charges have been filed against a 23-year-old Brookfield man.

According to a report from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Cody Lee Munsterman is alleged to have had inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile female when she was 10 and he was 17.

During an interview with authorities on March 16, 2021, the girl disclosed sexual contact with Munsterman on or about August 1, 2014, and continuing through mid-December 2014.

Court documents say Munsterman is charged with a Class D Felony for Sexual Misconduct or Attempt Involving a Child Under 15- First Offense; and an Unclassified Felony for Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree- Victim Less Than 12 Years Old. Bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

Munsterman’s initial hearing is pending at Linn County Circuit Court.
