A couple of event requests were considered for approval during the most-recent meeting of the Marshall City Council.

The council approved a request for the Marshall Chamber of Commerce to hold the Sips N’ Grins Wine Walk from 2 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, July 17, on the Marshall Square.

The council also approved Bud’s Cafe’s request to host a block party on Saturday, June 19.

In other business, the council considered a recommendation for lawn mowing services.

City Administrator David Haugland, filling in for City Inspector and Code Official Mike Morgan, explained five bids were received.

In addition, Haugland gave details of bids received for lawn treatment.

The council approved both of the recommendations.
