
Leslie Roland Limback, age 83, of Alma, MO, passed away at the Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia, MO on Saturday, March 20, 2021, due to complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, with Pastor Bernard Ross officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial, with military rites, will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Face masks are required at all services, and social distancing will be observed.

Born November 4, 1937, in rural Corder, MO, he was the son of the late Ralph Limback and Paula Breder Limback. Leslie graduated from Trinity Lutheran School and Alma High School. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959, stationed in Germany, he married Valera Bremer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Concordia on May 30, 1959. To this union were born three children. They moved to the farm, north of Alma, in 1960. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Throughout his years, he served on numerous church, agricultural and Alma community Boards. He had a deep faith in God and loved his family, farming and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Valera; three children, Jane Limback of DeSoto, KS, Lynn Limback of Columbia, MO and Bethany (Don) Schlesselman of Concordia; two grandchildren, Diane Schlesselman and Steven (Jaala) Schlesselman; three great-grandchildren, Brinley, Mason and Isabelle Schlesselman; five brothers, Eugene (Darlene) Limback of Overland Park, KS, Albert Limback and Clarence (Donna) Limback of Corder, Richard Limback of Alma and Stanley (Sharon) Limback of Dunkerton, IA; three sisters, Helen (Larry) McKeage of Higginsville, Betty McKeage of Alma and Kathy (Leonard ) Stoll of Corder; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
