The positivity rate of COVID-19 cases is down over the last two weeks in Pettis County.

According to minutes from the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force meeting on Monday, March 22, the Pettis County Health Center reported there have been 5,047 positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic. That total is up 16 cases in the past week and 44 cases in the past two weeks. The positivity rate for March 8-14 was 5.83 percent, and the cases per 100,000 is 94.48.

There currently is one person hospitalized with COVID-19 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) website reports 77 deaths in Pettis County.

Heath center officials say, “In order to keep moving in the right direction, we need to continue to wear masks, keep six feet apart, wash hands and stay home when ill.”
