A deadline for a registered voter to request a ballot be sent to them via mail is this week.
During the most-recent meeting of the Saline County Commission, Clerk Debbie Russell said that deadline is Wednesday, March 24.
Russell also said the mandatory testing of the voting equipment is scheduled for next week in her office.
Russell’s office is located on the north side of the square in Marshall.
In addition, Russell said some special hours are available for absentee voting just a few days prior to the Municipal Election.
Absentee voting also will be accepted at her office during regular business hours through 5 p.m. on Monday, April 5.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.
