A 59-year-old Belton man is facing a drug-related felony charge after authorities say they found controlled substances in a vehicle that belonged to him and was parked at a residence in Pettis County on March 5.

According to a probable-cause statement, authorities executed a narcotics search warrant on Bugger Town Road and found more than $1,200 and a small Ziploc bag containing a crystal substance in jeans that belonged to Ricky Coutts.

In Coutts’ vehicle, authorities say they also located 10 separate clear bags with a crystal substance, weighing a total of 138 grams.

Coutts is charged with a Class B Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Coutts was arraigned on March 8. A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 27 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
