Beginning April, 8 Highway 131, in Johnson County, will be closed to traffic from Route U to Route HH, while crews widen the highway’s shoulder.

This will be the second of three closures on Route 131 to complete the grading and shoulder widening. There will be a signed detour on Route OO and Route HH.

The third closure on Route 131 will be from Route HH to Route 50, with a signed detour on Route HH, Route Z and Route 50. That closure is tentatively scheduled for late April.
