A jury trial is scheduled for a 28-year-old Sedalia man facing felony charges for allegedly killing a man more than a year ago in Pettis County.

Authorities allege Elijah Watts shot to death 25-year-old Adrian Clark on August 31, 2019.

Watts has been charged with Class A Felonies for Second-Degree Murder and Unlawful Use of a Weapon; a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond remains $500,000 cash or surety.

Watts pleaded not guilty on November 18, 2019.

Watts’ next court appearance has been rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
