James E. “Jim” Klasing, 78, rural Slater, MO, died Sunday, April 4, 2021,  at The Neighborhoods by TigerPlace in Columbia, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall, with Pastor William Voelker officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Face masks are required, and social distancing will be observed at all services.  Memorials are suggested to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Born September 22, 1942, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Elroy H. Klasing and Berneice Fizer Klasing. He was a 1960 graduate of Slater High School and a lifelong family farmer. On July 1, 1972, he married Judy Stoehr who survives of the home. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and held various positions within the church. He was a past member of The Gideon’s International and Boots and Slippers Square Dance Club. He was an avid bicyclist and enjoyed hiking and other outside activities.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; one brother, Jerry Klasing (Cheryl) of rural Slater; and several nieces and nephews.
