The Smith-Cotton High School Student Council has earned the Missouri Association of Student Councils Gold Honor Council Award.

The district says only 60 councils across the state earned the designation, which requires school service, spirit, community service, student and teacher recognition and leadership training activities.

The honor council also recognized Student Council Advisor Greg Willson and Principal Wade Norton for their support of S-C’s council.
