A couple of area roadways remain closed, and the closures have nothing to do with recent flooding.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT), in Carroll County, Route Z is closed until further notice from Route C to County Road 217 due to damage caused by a roadway slide and ongoing geological studies.
In Chariton County, Highway 139 is closed for a bridge replacement project at the Grand River Overflow Bridge through July.
This bridge is included in Governor Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
