
A jury trial that was scheduled for a 28-year-old Sedalia man facing felony charges for allegedly killing a man more than a year and a half ago in Pettis County was canceled in February.
Authorities allege Elijah Watts shot to death 25-year-old Adrian Clark on August 31, 2019.
Watts has been charged with Class A Felonies for Second-Degree Murder and Unlawful Use of a Weapon; a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond remains $500,000 cash or surety.
Watts pleaded not guilty on November 18, 2019.
Watts’ next court appearance is set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
