Many employees in the Sweet Springs R-7 School District will be getting a raise this upcoming school year.
According to unofficial minutes from the school board meeting on Thursday, April 8, the board approved a step plus a two-percent increase to the base on 2021-22 certified and classified salary schedules.
In other business, the Insurance Committee recommended the board remain with MEUHP, and to increase board contribution per employee to be equivalent to the HSA 4000 plan. This is an increase of $36 per month per employee or an increase of $432 per year per employee. Currently, the district has approximately 53 employees subscribing to the insurance plans provided by the district.
