
A jury trial in the case of a 28-year-old Sedalia man facing felony charges for allegedly killing a man more than a year ago in Pettis County, that was originally set to be held in February is now set to begin this summer.
Authorities allege Elijah Watts shot to death 25-year-old Adrian Clark on August 31, 2019.
Watts is charged with Class A Felonies for Second-Degree Murder and Unlawful Use of a Weapon; a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond remains $500,000 cash or surety.
Watts pleaded not guilty on November 18, 2019.
A three-day jury trial in this case is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., Wednesday, July 28 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
