A 27-year-old Odessa man has been ordered to serve a few years in jail after he allegedly led multiple law-enforcement officers on a high-speed chase on multiple roadways in Lafayette County on January 21.
According to a report from a Lafayette County deputy, the pursuit lasted for several minutes as the driver of the vehicle sped away from an attempted traffic stop. The suspect vehicle reached speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour on rural routes and county roads.
Eventually, the suspect pulled the vehicle into a gas station and stopped. The driver exited the passenger’s side and went to the ground. Jeramy Andrew Sisk was taken into custody.
Sisk pleaded guilty on April 5 to a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest, Detention or Stop by Fleeing.
The court ordered Sisk to serve three years in the Department of Corrections.
