During the meeting of the Develop Saline County Advisory Board on Wednesday, April 14, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. gave an update on the bond for the waterline project at Marshall Junction.

Guthrey explained some money was misappropriated and will have to be replaced. He asked the board for its approval to take it out of what the five entities will be getting from the proceeds of the half-cent economic development sales tax.

That figures out to be $23,000 of proceeds for each entity to lose.

Slater City Administrator Gene Griffith says he would like more information before making a decision.

The Develop Saline County Advisory Board has scheduled its next meeting for Wednesday, June 9.
