Velma “Penny” Land, age 71, of Marceline, MO, formerly of Carrollton, died Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.

Born February 17, 1950 in Warrensburg, she was the daughter of the late Henry Jack Bellamy and Velma Grace Roe Bellamy Wright. On October 27, 1989 she married Bobby Dale Land who survives of the home. Penny had lived in Marceline the last 2 years, moving there from Carrollton, and worked as a manager for QSI Sanitation. Penny enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and hunting with her grandkids.

In addition to her husband, Bobby; she is survived by one daughter, Marsha Covey of Carrollton; one son, Charlie Shannon (Stephanie) of Carrollton; two step-sons, J.P. Land (Michelle) of Blue Springs and Greg Land (Kerry) of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Paula Fricke of Alma and Alberta Noah of Carrollton; one brother, Ronnie Bellamy of Marshall; a brother-in-law, Gary Renzelman of Carrollton; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Henry and Richard Bellamy; two sisters, Dorothy Flurry and Jenny “Cricket” Renzelman; and two brothers in infancy.
