
A one vehicle crash Saturday, April 17, resulted in serious injuries for two juveniles.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred when the vehicle driven by 20-year-old Andrew Vansel, of LaMonte failed to negotiate a curve crossed the center line and began to skid. The vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck several trees before ejecting one of the occupants.
An 11-year-old passenger was transported by Life Flight Eagle helicopter to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries. A 17-year-old passenger, who was also seriously injured, was transported by EMS to University Hospital for treatment. Vansel sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Pettis County EMS to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
The crash happened at approximately 11:43 p.m. Saturday on Route He North of Elm Springs Road in Pettis County.
