
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire KMMO listening area beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, April 19.
The advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20.
From one to three inches of snow is expected in portions of central, north-central and west-central Missouri.
Drivers are urged to plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute on Tuesday.
In addition, a freeze warning is in effect until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21. Subfreezing temperatures as low as 28 degrees are possible.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
The advisory and warning are in effect for Saline, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Lafayette and Pettis Counties in the KMMO listening area.
