A 31-year-old area woman charged with a felony in connection to the death of a Slater woman remains in custody.

Deseray Heyer was arrested on February 3 after authorities were called to a Slater residence where the body of 56-year-old Sharon Lamm was found deceased. Lamm had been reported as missing since January 30.

Heyer is charged with a Class E Felony for Abandonment of a Corpse. Bond is set at $50,000. She also is charged in a separate case with and a Class E Felony for Assault. Bond for this charge is set at $10,000 cash only.

Her case has been bound over to the trial division of the Saline County Circuit Court for arraignment at 9 a.m. Monday, April 26.
