During its meeting on Monday, April 19, the Marshall City Council approved the second reading of an ordinance to execute a contract between the city and the Saline County Emergency Management Agency.

According to the agreement, for emergency management services, the city will pay $20,250.75. The sum is calculated by $1.55 per capita. Marshall’s population is 13,065.

In other news, Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt said despite the weather, Marshall residents brought tons of items to the Trash Bash.

In addition, the council approved the request from the Midwest Hydrocephalus Coalition to hold a Poker Run from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 11. That will include a street closure- Washington Street between Odell and Jefferson Avenues.
