Larry R. Phillips, age 73, of Marshall, MO, died Friday, April 16, 2021, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 23, at First Christian Church in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Inurnment will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.

Born January 7, 1948, in Marshall, he was the son of the late William E. “Bill” Phillips and Betty Gibson Phillips. On August 23, 1969 he married Lynn Cavanagh who survives of the home. Larry was a 1965 graduate of Marshall High School and was awarded a football scholarship to Oklahoma State University. Larry served as president of Hahn & Phillips Grease Company where he had worked for 51 years. He was a member of First Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, Lynn; he is survived by two children, Keri James (Mike) of Parkville, MO and Rebekah Beagle (Rob) of Liberty, MO; three grandchildren, Addison Beagle, Mia James and Cole James; two sisters, Linda Clark and Leslie Coslet (Bud), all of Marshall; his mother-in-law, Ruth Cavanagh of Muskogee, OK; a sister-in-law, Leslie Pacheco (Dan) of Cherry Hill, NJ; as well as nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lyle Pointer and Laura Clemons.
