An approximate two month investigation by the Marshall Police Department into the report of distribution of narcotics ended at approximately 9 a.m. Thursday, April 22, with the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Highland Court.

A search of the residence revealed quantities of, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

Eight persons were arrested and are currently being held at the Marshall Police Department and Saline County Justice Facility pending the formal filing of charges.

Marshall Police Department would like to thank the Saline County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.

Evidence supporting charges must be presented before a jury, whose duty is to determine if the accused is guilty or not guilty of the charges.

The names of the subjects have not been released at this time.
