A Marshall man who pleaded guilty to being in possession of child pornography has been sentenced to probation.
According to a probable-cause statement filed in May of 2020, a report from a Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent says the agency received six reports submitted to NCMEC by Dropbox, Inc. from November 2017 through April 2018.
The accounts associated with the Dropbox accounts were identified as belonging to Brandon Lee Walker. All six reports reported the images/videos of child pornography had been uploaded to servers from an IP Address connected to Walker.
During a forensic analysis of electronic devices used by Walker, a total of approximately 2,563 suspected child pornography files were found- of which 451 were suspected child pornography videos and 2,162 were suspected child pornography images.
During his interview with investigators, Walker admitted to downloading/uploading images and videos of children ranging from six to 13 years of age. He said he collected the images and videos, but did not review them.
Court documents say Walker withdrew his not guilty plea and pleaded guilty in February to three counts of a Class B Felony for Possession of Child Pornography.
On Monday, April 26, imposition of sentence was suspended, and Presiding Judge Dennis Rolf placed Walker on five years of supervised probation.
