Several area students were recognized at the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention at the Mathewson Exhibition Center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia over the weekend.

Evan Lee Finkeldei, of the Santa Fe FFA Chapter, won the Missouri FFA Agricultural Processing Proficiency Award. Dylan Lilleman, of the Higginsville FFA Chapter, won the Missouri FFA Agricultural Services Proficiency Award. Marina Firman, of the Boonville FFA Chapter, won the Missouri FFA Agriscience Animal Systems Research Proficiency Award.

The Missouri FFA Association also recognized Firman as Area 6 Star in Agriscience; Spencer Vossler, of the Crest Ridge FFA Chapter, as Area 7 Star in Agriscience and as the State Star in Agriscience; and Jack Peterson, of the Carrollton Area Career Center FFA Chapter, as the Area 6 Star in Placement.

In addition, the Missouri FFA Association recognized Gustav Kussman, of the Brunswick FFA Chapter, as the Area 4 Star Farmer; Cole Allen Murphy, of the Sweet Springs FFA Chapter, as the Area 6 Star Farmer; and Lane Aaron Borchers, of the Santa Fe FFA Chapter, as the Area 6 Star in Agribusiness.
