
Two Knob Noster residents suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash in Johnson County on Monday, May 10.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 52-year-old Michael Ford, and Vehicle “A” was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of Route BB. Ford swerved his vehicle to avoid a head-on collision with Vehicle “A”, and Ford’s vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned and struck a tree. Vehicle “A” did not stop and remains unknown.
Ford and a passenger- 47-year-old Trisha Enarson- were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg and Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for treatment. Also, 63-year-old Richard Younce, of Warrensburg, refused treatment of minor injuries at the scene. None of the occupants in Ford’s vehicle was wearing a seat belt.
The crash happened at 12:52 p.m. on Route BB, west of Southwest 21st Road.
