During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Thursday, May 13, commissioners were asked to approve the use of courthouse grounds for a couple of upcoming events.

Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden says the first request involves outdoor band concerts.

Gooden said the other is for an event next year.

Commissioners approved both requests.
