Sales tax numbers were mostly up for the month of May in Saline County, with the report given by Treasurer Jared Brewer during the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, May 13.

Brewer started with the sales tax numbers.

Brewer concluded with three other tax proceeds received.

In other news from the meeting, Auditor Karlin Breshears said the county hasn’t received an exact date for the annual audit by an independent firm. She said she will be forwarding documents to the firm. However, she doesn’t know whether or not the audit will be one conducted on-site or from a distance by the firm. She said she will know more once the firm calls and confirms a date.
