A La Monte man is facing sex-related felony charges involving a juvenile for allegedly molesting a 10-year-old girl on April 24.

According to a probable-cause statement, the girl told authorities Joshua L. Opfer forced her to get in bed with him, touched her inappropriately, made her touch him inappropriately and several other deviant sexual acts.

During his interview with authorities, Opfer denied the allegations.

Court documents say Opfer is charged with a Class B Felony for Child Molestation in the Second Degree and an Unclassified Felony for Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy with a Child Less Than 12 Years Old. Bond is set at $75,000 cash or surety.

Opfer’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
