Route YY in Saline County is scheduled to be closed at I-70 beginning Monday, May 24, through mid-November 2021 for bridge removal and replacement.

MODOT says this project also will include several traffic implications:

·         Ramps at the I-70 and YY interchange will be closed during the bridge removal from 9 a.m. Monday, May 24, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 26.

·         I-70 will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the YY interchange from 9 a.m. Monday, May 24, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 26. The one lane of I-70 traffic will be routed on the Route YY on and off ramps. During this time, I-70 traffic will not be able to access Route YY, and Route YY traffic will not be able to access I-70.

·          There will be periodic lane closures on I-70 near the interchange from May 24 through mid-November.
