
Two men are facing felony charges after authorities located more than two pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in June 2020 in Lafayette County.
During a search of the vehicle, Lafayette County deputies say they found a total of 2.17 pounds of marijuana.
Michael Eugene Jensen and Rick William Lawson, both of Versailles, are charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Additionally, Lawson is charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond for each defendant has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Lawson waived formal arraignment on March 15. Plea/Trial setting in his case is scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, May 17 at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
Jensen waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty on October 5. A Plea/Trial Setting in his case is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
