
Multiple felony charges have been filed against a 52-year-old Sedalia man after a traffic stop was conducted on September 7.
According to a Sedalia Police report, during a search of the vehicle, the officer says he found numerous illegal drugs and other drug related items. A firearm that had been reported out of Morgan County was also located inside the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, Wraymond Jess Merriott Jr., who is a convicted felon, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance; receiving stolen property; unlawful possession of a firearm; and a felony for unlawful use of weapon. Merriott posted $7,500 surety bond on May 3.
Marriott’s next court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 17 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
