The court has ordered no bond for a Concordia teen who is facing sex-related felony charges for allegedly having inappropriate sexual relations with a juvenile.
A probable-cause statement says on May 10, a 13-year-old girl alleged to the Lafayette County Department of Family Services that 18-year-old Caleb Michael Ingalls had been raping her. She also alleged Ingalls had assaulted her by throwing her to the ground and stomping on the side of her head, causing an injury that was treated at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Ingalls told authorities that regarding the alleged rape, the girl had seduced him, and the sex was consensual. And regarding the alleged assault, he said the girl had kicked him in the groin first.
Court documents say Ingalls is charged with Class E Felonies for Incest and Domestic Assault in the Third Degree; and an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Rape or Attempted Statutory Rape in the First Degree with a Person Less Than 14 Years Old.
Ingalls entered a not-guilty plea during his arraignment on May 14. His next hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19, at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
