Pettis County authorities made arrests after a traffic stop and execution of a search warrant on Tuesday, May 18.
According to the Pettis County Sheriff’s office, a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper conducted an investigative traffic stop on a blue Nissan Altima in reference to a previous incident, and the fact that the vehicle displayed plates of another.
The driver was arrested for possession of stolen property.
Task Force detectives already were in possession of a valid search warrant for the driver’s address on Matlzbarger Road in reference to drug-law violations. Pettis County deputies, accompanied by the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and the highway patrol, executed this search warrant while the man was in custody at the Pettis County Jail.
Authorities say they located and seized suspected heroin, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in a small child’s bedroom. This included loaded syringes in the child’s bedroom. A woman was arrested during warrant service.
Per KMMO policy, the names of the arrested persons will not be released until formal charges are filed by the Prosecuting Attorney.
